The Jews conspire together

[Wednesday]

Saint Mark - Chapter 14

The Jews conspire together. J-J Tissot
[1] Erat autem Pascha et azyma post biduum : et quaerebant summi sacerdotes et scribae quomodo eum dolo tenerent, et occiderent.
Now the feast of the pasch, and of the Azymes was after two days; and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might by some wile lay hold on him, and kill him.

[2] Dicebant autem : Non in die festo, ne forte tumultus fieret in populo.
But they said: Not on the festival day, lest there should be a tumult among the people.

Totus tuus ego sum
Et omnia mea tua sunt;
Tecum semper tutus sum:
Ad Jesum per Mariam
