And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, to betray him to them.
[11] Qui audientes gavisi sunt : et promiserunt ei pecuniam se daturos. Et quaerebat quomodo illum opportune traderet.
Who hearing it were glad; and they promised him they would give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
They were glad. “Not only that they were about to apprehend Him without tumult, being opportunely betrayed by Judas, but also because He was beginning to be hated by His own disciples.”
Totus tuus ego sum
Et omnia mea tua sunt;
Tecum semper tutus sum:
Ad Jesum per Mariam
