Saint Matthew - Chapter 4
Calling of St James and St John. J-J Tissot |
And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets: and he called them.
[22] Illi autem statim relictis retibus et patre, secuti sunt eum.
And they forthwith left their nets and father, and followed him.
Saint Mark - Chapter 1
[19] Et progressus inde pusillum, vidit Jacobum Zebedaei, et Joannem fratrem ejus, et ipsos componentes retia in navi :
And going on from thence a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were mending their nets in the ship:
[20] et statim vocavit illos. Et relicto patre suo Zebedaeo in navi cum mercenariis, secuti sunt eum.
And forthwith he called them. And leaving their father Zebedee in the ship with his hired men, they followed him.
Totus tuus ego sum
Et omnia mea tua sunt;
Tecum semper tutus sum:
Ad Jesum per Mariam
